Easter was great! Ziggy got the whole day off so we actually got to spend the whole time together as a family. We went to 7:30 am mass and Gillian was pretty good. I stood in the back with her because i feared her coughing would disrupted people's praying. It was good. Then we went to breakfast with my mother. After that we all went home and slept a couple more hours and then went to my dads for a late lunch. We got to watch some basketball and eat some great food. Then we rented a couple of movies and went home to bum and enjoy relaxing. Gillian was on her tummy most of the night kicking her legs like she wants to crawl. I would say within the next month or so maybe. She wants to be so independent and yet I am ok with her holding on
just a bit longer...

First Day of Spring

Yesterday was the first day of spring and what a day it was. I went home to see my little girl in good spirits and even happy to be able to breath better again. Yay drugs! I was really hesitant to use any medication with what the news has been saying lately but the doctor assured me that this medicine was ok not like the over-the-counter stuff that parents use when they don't even need to. So all is well. We were going to go to the grocery store but Gillian was not up for that but we did go outside (for ten minutes) and enjoy the first day of spring with cousin Zoey. Then we had to start our new night routine. It was great and Gillian slept from 8:00pm to 8:30am without me going in there in the middle of the night to give her her soothie. Hopefully she will feel better in time for Easter and church. We will see...

A father's love

Ziggy cried uncle today and called the doctor and took Gillian to see Dr. Morris' on call doctor Dr. Matthews. As we knew, she has a cold with severe congestion. On top of that she has developed a yeast infection under her arms from sweating. POOR GIRL!!! They gave her medicine and now Ziggy is going to pamper her which she will love. On a brighter note we finally got the pictures back and though it might not be legal I scanned them to show all and manipulated a couple. So hope you enjoy. I have tons of cute pictures I need to upload but will have to wait for the weekend for my new flash drive doesn't fit into my lap top. Weird I know but tis true.

So this weekend I decided to quit my job where I do the photography. I enjoy doing it but working six to seven days a week I feel that I have no time with Gillian and no time for what I call my wifely duties (clean, laundry, orgaize, and scrapbook : ) ) It really is not worth it in the long run. I bought Gillian an activity set where she can stand and bounce and play with really cool toys. I love it and so does she. Ziggy got to hang with his friends and he really enjoyed that. Other than that it was a boring weekend. Oh I did get to scrap with Alli. I am almost done with the album that I am giving my cousin as a baby gift. I really like it and will probably take pictures of the pages so that I can make them for Gillian's book. I have been so unmotivated for that book. All her pictures are up on our walls and not in the book. I think I will wait till she is a year to decide which ones I want in the book and which ones to leave on the walls. There are just too many good ones. The best part of the weekend was that Gillian talked the whole time. She talked for the whole 45min I was in JoAnns on Wednesday. It was sooo cute!

Ok so not exactly the same, but today Gillian and Abbie got pictures taken together and they turned out cute! Though my girl had to let everyone know she was the queen and it had to be done her way we had some really cute pictures in their matching dresses. I got some of the both of them and then a family one and then individual ones with Gillian. Then Abbie got some in flowers while she was sleeping and they are precious. We get them back in a couple of weeks and I am thrilled. I already know what frames I want to put them in and where I want them to go. I wish Kerri would get some of Zoey cause she needs them. I have a feeling Aunt Katie is going to have to do that. I would do them myself and I have but JCP has different backgrounds and props. It turned out good though. G-Ma Ward came down and got Gillian to giggle. I read that it is normally at four months when they start to giggle so I guess she is on track. I just want her to do it all the time because it is so precious. I am glad that Amy got to see it though. She got some really good pictures so hopefully I can get my hands on those and post them. Gillian gets to spend the weekend with Aunt Alli which Alli is really excited about. I have to work at my other job and this weekend I am in Topeka and Overland Park. I hope it goes by fast. I have a baby scrapbook that I am working on for a cousin and her shower is the 15th. I need to get on it. The layouts are turning very cute. I will have to post those as well. So many pictures so little time. Hopefully they will inspire me to work in Gillian's book since I am slacking a little. Well I should get back to work. More Later...

My Wish List for Gillian

My friend gave me a BabiesRus catalog and when I went through it there were so many things that I wanted for Gillian. Here is my little wish list for her.

For her crib when I put her there while I am cleaning her room
for my germphobic husband
to take places so she has her own space and sleep area
to let her stand up which she loves to do
to put her hands somewhere in her Bumbo chair

Its not much just a few items that I think she would really like. I am hoping to find some of these items at the next mothers to mothers sale so that I can get them for her on our budget. Just a wish list. Other than that work has been pretty non eventful .

Oh today is the day that I am going to start my postpreg exercise. i have been putting it off but after hanging out with friends this weekend I feel the need to lose the weight and plus some. My go is.... 40 but will be happy with 20. 17 though would put me at my pre pregnancy weight. So we will see where I am at at the end of this month.
