Play Time is more fun now!

This is our favorite thing to do now...

Saturday morning Ziggy got up with me to feed Gillian and this is what we got to see. A very happy girl!

Sticking out our tongue at Daddy

Anthony turned 3!!!

On Sunday we went to Anthony's 3rd Birthday party. Me thinking that I am wonder woman and that Zoey needs to be around more people since she is normally secluded to the same five people everyday decided on my own to take both of the girls down to Raytown. What an adventure. Gillian cried cause Zoey was crying and there were tons of people around. Zoey cried because men were there (particularly Q which she is terrified of). So Zoey kept running to me to hold her and Gillian wanted to be held and wanted to spleep. So after a lot of juggling and Q taking Bean and staying clear of me and Zoey it turned out to be a fun party. Zoey really like going outside and playing in the grass. Linda ( I have no idea who she was but I am truly thankful for) held Gillian and got her to sleep in her arms which only Ziggy has ever been able to conqur. So it was fun but very exhausting. Here are a couple of pics...
Running away from Q
Laughing at Amanda
Totally Q's son
We weren't to sure at first with the pedals
Sitting in our new chair while opening gifts

We were happy with a balloon and a cracker
The funny thing is I am terrified of balloons and she kept wanting me to play with it and I couldn't. I just couldn't even touch it or get near it. Fred played with her and the balloon so I don't feel that bad

Personality

While we try to teach our children all about life,Our children teach us what life is all about.~Angela Schwindt

On the right side of my blog there is a link called the MOM Blog from Red Magazine. I love this because it is Two moms talking about their life...well as moms. Today I was reading and there was a quiz to see what kind of mom you are. So being the curious one I took it between my crazy projects at work. I am what is called a ESPN mom and that is completely true.

Soccer, Tae Kwon Do, Ballet- these are just a few of the pursuits you manage to pack into after school hours and on the weekends. You know all the kids names of you kids teammates, have a stop watch for split times, and other moms depend on you to know who is winning and, um, how the game works. You want your kid to experience everything life has to offer...

I am always teasing Ziggy that Gillian will be like me and play all the sports and be involved with church, girl scouts, choir, and all that jazz and still have time to do homework, hang out with friends, and help with chores. I want my child (like most moms) to be able to experience everything they want. This is why I keep telling my hubby i want to pay off the debt so that when Gillian gets to the age she wants dance class she can go. When I was younger I was in dance, girl scouts, practicully every Parks and Rec sports out there. Though my mom was a single parent living on $16,000 income from being a teacher at a private school, I was able to do what I wanted and never knew the financial part. I did find out later in life that my grandparents had a lot to do with that aspect.

So I will be the ESPN mother who is at every game, every performance, and anything else my child is involved with. My mom was always there for me (even my dad made it out to games) and so was my grandparents. When Ziggy hinted the notion of us getting married I told him I wanted a man who would hold the same passion that I have for our children and their goals and dreams. I knew that Ziggy was one of these fathers that wears that shirt with the matching number or the one that supervises Girl Scout lockins when someone calls in sick. This is one of the many characteristics that attracted me to him. I know that even some of his friends would also participate and that means a lot. Gillian and our other future kids (even Zoey) will never have to look in the stands and wonder if anyone is there to watch her. She will have her own cheering section... just like I did. She will always feel that she has support...

So for anyone else here is the link to the quiz. Let me know what you are. I am interested to know the other personalities are.

First Day of School... Well Day Care!

Tuesday was Gillian's first day at her new Day Care. Ziggy and I both took her in the morning and then hung around for almost thirty minutes. We say that we were just getting all the information correct and the procedure down but in reality we just didn't want to leave her. It was harder for Ziggy cause he normally has her till one then he goes to work. The latest we can bring her is 9:30 so he doesn't get to spend that much time with her. Sad days. There are four babies total (with two very sweet older women). Gilly is the only girl of the group. There are a set of twins that were born November 6th (they think one has Lukemia) and the other boy was born November 16th. We I went to pick her up they said she was amazing and gave them no problem at all. I am so excited. I took some pictures of her in her cute outfit. Today we put her in overalls with a ruffle shirt underneath. She will be the cutest girl there ; )

Working on our sitting up... longest time so far is two minutes fourteen seconds

Gillian's Baptism

This was a crazy weekend for us. Friday we went to Lee's Summit where Adam and Amanda threw us a diaper and poker night party. No poker just a whole bunch of friends hanging out and swooning Gilly. She feel asleep in Anthony's room and slept the whole time (though the noise level got kinda loud as the night progressed). She was amazing and it was awesome that Ziggy and I got to hang out with our friends and not have to worry about her. Amanda did hook up the baby monitor and we all kept glancing at it from time to time which was hilarious. Satuday we went back to LS since I left my car down there and Ziggy, Amanda, and Q watched a movie while I slept ( I was exhausted). On Sunday Gillian was Baptized and it was good. She got a little grumpy but that was ok. She received some amazing gifts including two rosaries and a 14ct gold necklace with a tiny diamond in it. I loved having all of our family and friends around. It was truely a blessing to have so many people share this event with us. On a sour note, I had awesome video of Gillian rolling and sitting up and the computer ate it. I have no idea where it went so I will have to get some more and post that later. SHE IS ROLLING!!!!! I am so excited. She started doing it last Wednesday and now she can't be stopped! YAY!

My favorite of Zoey (it looks professional I think)
Her beautiful dress
And the bonnet!
Gillian and her Godparents
Amanda and her awesome hair!
We love our "unofficial Godmother"

UPDATE!!!!

A lot has happened and I have not had the energy to actually put it on my blog but here I am. Gillian is getting baptized this Sunday with Zoey. I am very excited about this. I have been taking her to church to get her use to it and it has been doing very well. Zoey is wearing my old Baptism gown so I went out and bought Gillian a new one (and for other kids in the future). It is soo cute and i resisted the urge to put her in it now. It came with a little bonnet that my mom is adding more lace to because it was a little plan. I am really excited about this. She is doing great. She is starting to teeth so that hasn't been too bad but it did keep her up last night. We started cereal on Sunday (ok that is the only day we have been able to attempt it) and it was interesting. I think more made it on her than in her mouth. Lets see what else... I cut my hair a while back and finally took a picture of it. I don't care for it but it is growing out. I went to a day care facility this morning to check it out. We decided that Gillian needs more stability in her life. I am hoping that we can afford it on top of our other bills. ummm... work is work with both of us and not much else. I am going to My Chemical Romance tonight with Alli and I am very excited but will miss my Bean. As promised some pictures and an old clip of Bean when she starting to make noises : )

I don't know how it got on her nose

just a cute one I like

So this has been an eventful week. Monday was Gillian's 4month checkup. She is 25inches long and 14.5 pounds. Zoey is 10months and 17 pounds so that cracks me up. She has actually gone done in her weight curve the doctor told me. Everything is going well. We start cereal in a couple of weeks. Fun! At the same time Gillian was at her appointment, Ziggy was at the dentist for the first time since middle school. He has four cavities and needs his wisdom teeth pulled (one is decayed) He also got a recommendation for an orthodontist. Yes you are correct he wants braces. Gillian and I went and had dinner with Ziggy Tueday and Wednesday night at his work. Then Thursday we went to Joe Town and had dinner with friends for Alli's Birthday. It was a lot of fun catching up. Gillian was good until it was her bedtime and we were still at the resturant. We she wants something she will let everyone know. It was a lot of fun. This weekend the only thing we have planned is church so we will she what comes up to do. Oh here is a picture of Gilly (of course)

Trying to introduce walking (tooo young!)

Ok we will try sitting up then : )

Guarding her "soothie" while she sleeps.
