Christmas Part Two

We went to Aunt Laura's and Uncle Peter's next for Christmas with the Cochrans. We had a wonderful chili and soup. Then we watch the girls tear into their presents. Everybody loved their presents and had a great time. Gillian was a diva when it came to Abbie' s new car. She wanted to play in it the whole time and not share. Crazy girl. Maybe for Valentines : )

Christmas Part One

Christmas was very interesting this year. Gillian spent Christmas Eve with Grandma and Zoey down in Lee's Summit. Zach and I were not able to make it down due to the weather so we had to stay up in Liberty. After I got off work we went to the only place that seemed open for dinner... Chinese. Afterward we came home and played four hours of Tiger Woods then fell asleep watching Star Wars. Christmas Day we slept in and waited for Gillian to come home. When they all made it home we opened gifts. The girls knew exactly what to do with the presents. They got a lot of wonderful gifts. What a great day!!!

Visit with Abbie

Laura and Peter went to Peter's works Christmas Party. Mimi came down to babysit Abbie so after I got off work we went up to Kearney for a visit. The whole time Gillian and Abbie ran around chasing each other, playing peek-a-boo with the closet door, and Abbie showed Gillian how to jump on the couch. They had so much fun with each other. I love watching them play and getting along.

Happy Birthday Gillian! 2 years!!!

Part One:

We went down to the farm for Thanksgiving/Gillian's Birthday/Bob's Birthday/Family Pictures Event. We ate an amazing dinner filled with everything you can think of. Then We got our pictures taken. Follow by opening gifts and dessert.

Part Two:
After spending the night at the farm, we drove to Amanda and Q's home to have a small Birthday Party. It was awesome! Pizza, cake, Chiefs won, and friends. Yay friends.

Happy Halloween 09!!!

We took the girls trick and treating around the neighborhood. It didn't take long for them to figure out how to get the candy. It was funny when we started out. As soon as they neighbors would open their doors the girls would try walk into their homes. Thankfully we know most of our neighbors so they thought it was cute. Gillian was the polite one. She would say "tick treat" and "thank you". She would also say bye and run to the next house. Zach bought them glow sticks and they thought they were the coolest thing ever. They were super cute! Six houses was the perfect number. We let them each have one piece of candy and they thought that was awesome.

Starting my daughter out right

I just want to go on record and say that my daughter rocks.

Gillian found my Sabre in the basement and brought it to me. I spun it just a couple of times and then handed it back to her. This is what she did next.

Friday Oct. 16, 2009

The Girls and I went and saw Fredrick this morning. He was a little stand-offish which made me worry and question the adoption, but with everyman the key to his heart is food. So after a few doggy treats he calmed down.

Not gonna lie, still going to reflect on the happenings from this morning and see how the next visit goes. and yes the girls are fine.

After lunch, the girls wanted to go "side." Apparently, Zoey was in a hurry.

The girls terrorizing the boys in the neighborhood....Who knew they would grasp the concept so early.

Zoey letting me know how she really feels about sticks.

The jungles of the backyard.

SAFE!!!

I just thought this picture was cute.

-Yes, this is Zach's First post...YAY!!!

The day with Mimi and Papi

On Saturday we went up to Weston to the Red Barn Farm with Mimi and Papi. It was crazy cold so we didn't stay long but long enough to see some animals and buy some pumpkins. After the farm we warmed up in St. Joe with lunch and Whiskey Creek and a wall around the renovated mall. Papi took the girls on the Carousel. I made Zach go since I can not do spinning rides and it was a good thing to. The Carousel was faster than any Carousel I have ever seen. The girls then entertained us as they ran around and played games. Zoey would run up to Papi and blow rasberries at him. It was a great visit and we had a blast!

Welcome to the Familly

Over the weekend we adopted our fist puppy. He is a Boxer mix and he is one. His name is Fredrick. We got him through the Maple Woods Vet program. In the beginning of the semester they get a lot of animals from shelters. Then the use them for education like how to take care of them, give them shots, and all that jazz. When the semester is winding down they try to find good homes for all the animals. So Fredrick is neutered, has all of his shots, socialized, potty trained, and kennel trained. All this for free. Zach is so happy about the puppy. He has already taken Gillian to see it twice (they encourage visits). We don't get to take him home until December so we have plenty of time to get the house ready and buy stuff to spoil him :)

Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Liberty last weekend and had a good time. We let the girls just run around and do whatever they wanted to do. the loved all the slides and all the ladders to go on. We went on the hayride and went out to the pumpkin patch. It was fun to watch them pick out the little pumpkins and carry them around.
