Liberty Fall Festival

Saturday we went to Liberty's Fall Festival. Mom and I took both of the girls and tried out mom's wagon we got her for Christmas. I told her it was a test run before the family reunion on October 4th. It was great. The girls loved being able to play with each other (well take toys from each other) and it did very well with the crowd. We watch the sad little parade with the Liberty High School band that is smaller than MOWOs (which is very sad). I walked away with not buying anything and mom only bought two things. She originally bought one ball for the girls but they fought over it like sisters so we had to hunt down and buy another one. I was able to take one picture before my camera died.

I can stand! I can stand!

This is what we practice over the weekend. The twins at the daycare are standing all the time and Gillian just looks at them in awe. I told her she can do it to and we would plractice. The longest so far is the whole theme song of VeggieTales. Zach even had her walking with only holding on with one hand! We are so excited!!! This is a video Zach got with his phone so I apologize in advance on the quality! She does a little dance for you to see! That is also a new thing she is doing. I read that at ten months a baby will start rocking or even hitting her head on a surface because they realize they have rythmn. She will rock with VeggieTales or Baby Einstein.

Calling All Band Nerds! Hello? Can You Hear Me?

I found this video this morning on CNN and had to post it. It is soooooo true! It is about time that they finally put two and two together. I have been saying this for years!!!

Digital Scrapbooking

So I have no time to actually sit down and scrapbook anymore. I am so busy with life that there are just not enough hours in the day. So today I looked into digital scrapbooking. I have done the pre-made books at sites like My publisher and Shutterfly but was wanting to make them more personal. So for a hour today I took like five tutorials on how to make my own layouts. It took another hour to download all the free stuff on the web to start out. So when I was ready I really didn't have time to make my own. This is what they call and drag and drop and that was the only thing I could accomplish. I have decided that Gillians first year will be done this way so that she can look at it like a storybook. Hopefully tomorrow I will have more time to play!

Happy 10 months!

Gillian turned 10 months over the weekend. I can't believe that her 1 year birthday is just around the corner. It is crazy to think that I will have a daughter that is 1 years old. It still seems surreal that I have a daughter at all! Last night Ziggy and I were watching Season 4 of Grey's Anatomy and there was an episode with a baby and Ziggy was saying "Can you believe Gillian was that small?" No I can't believe it. One of the cons of having a horrible memory like mine is that I don't remember. That is why I take so many pictures. Ziggy started to talk about our "next" child. I will have another one but I think I want to continue spoiling Gillian for just a bit longer. Plus Zoey has beed around a lot more and it seems like we do have two daughters. Saturday night Zoey spent the night and I was getting a kick watching them play. They laughed, they played, they ran each other over. They even handed each other toys. They were cute!

I just couldn't put it down

I finished the fourth book in the Twilight Series, Breaking Dawn, in two and a half days. I got the book for my birthday from my work on Tuesday and couldn't put it down. I was pulled in before I even read the first chapter. What an amazing series. I am sad to see it end but I think that the author, Stephenie Meyer, did a great job wrapping everything up. I would like to see maybe a version later down the road with Nessie grown up with Jake.... that would be very interesting. So now that I am done with that series, my boss has told me to start another one. This one is by Charlene Harris called Dark until Dawn. This book was the inspiration for the HBO series True Blood. I haven't seen the series yet but my boss says the book has kept her interest so far. I guess I will find out here shortly

Play time with the girls

Ziggy is really good at one thing, playing with the girls. He loves Gillian and Zoey a lot. He never complains when Kerri ask us to baby sit and he is always going out of his way for her. Here are some pictures that I took last week of him with Bean and Zoey. I guess Ziggy has his good moments! :)

We just love straws!

bouncy bouncy bouncy

Wearing the hat that Grandma Cochran made! She is so cute !

The big 25

This weekend I turned twenty five and i really don't feel any different. I just feel like I was when I was 23 but married and with a beautiful baby. Maybe next year it will kick in that I am older. Saturday my mom took me shopping as her present to me and it was great. I got to go to my favorite store Maurices and pretty much pick out what I wanted. Zach did the sweetest thing. I ask him to make me a present this year so he made me a scrapbooking page and on it he put a couple of pictures of us and then he wrote me a poem. I am going to frame it instead of puting it into a book. I absolutely love it! Sunday we went to my dads and spagetti and got to see the new horse. Gillian just giggle when he got close to her. zoey was a little more afraid but would put her hand out to pet him. and I have a couple pictures of the girls.

This is our training pony till we turn four or five and get a real one

Showing Uncle Ziggy some love

hours of fun!

This was as close as she would get to Lucy though Lucy never moved

Doctors yet again and other news

So this past two months have been pretty sad when it comes to being sick. Gillian was in the hopital. Zach had a viral infection and was off work for three days and now I have joined the group. I went to the doctors yesterday and found out that I have tonsillitis. This is good and bad. Good being i know why my throat has hurt for the past month now and it is not contagious so I feel much better about being around Gillian. Bad thing is that the Doctor said that the medicine only has a 50-50 chance of working. He said that if it was strep then it would be easier to treat. At the same time I am thinking " you are giving me horse pills to swallow three times a day. what can be easier than that". I cant swallow air without tensing up and he wants me to swallow something the size of my big toe. Luckly he opted not to give me Amoxie Clav which is what Zach was put on. I am on Kleflex which are medium size and not to bad. They are higher strength then Amoxicilin so hopefully I can eat normal food in a couple of days.

Other news. I am on the fourth book of the Twilight series. This rocks my world and crushes it at the same time. I am excited to see how it all wraps up but I know that this is the last. No more Twilight for me :( I will read what she started on her website but I too am sad that Edward's opinion won't be completed.

Nothing much. Gillian still won't walk but yet she gets into everything. Her favorite toy this whole week has been Ziggy's drum sticks. She will hit everything including me. She is also in the biting stage. We tell her no but that doesn't seem to help. I am happy that it seems like she only does it when she is hungry or tired to it is easy to prevent it.

I know that her birthday is still a couple months away but I have already been looking for stuff to decorate and what we will do. I am excited by this because growing up I never got the birthday parties like my sister did. The only birthday party I have ever kinda had was my 21st and that consisted of the color guard and some other friends going to Applebees before midnight practice. So I will admit that I am going to live bi-curiously through my daughter. Since she is too young to know what cartoon character she likes and a Veggie Tale theme would be strictly for mine and Ziggy's entertainment we have decided to go with an appropriate Birthday Diva theme. I found these on the web and Ziggy loved it. I know its pink but also purple which I have deemed as Gillian's color. Oh and there will not be any balloons and I am making the invites. I think this is perfect for our little Diva!!!

Quick Ramblings

OK I was told that I need to be more active on here so I am making the effort. Yesterday Zoey started at Gillian's daycare. I was not the one to drop Gillian off or pick her up (Zach beat me to both) so I was not able to take pictures. I am going to try to beat him today so that I can. I am really excited for Zoey to be around a "new" crowd. She has had a private babysitter since she was born and so she hasn't been with a lot of kids. I am hoping that this experience will help her grow socially and expand her abilities. I heard that she kept running into Gillian's room to see her (i wish i would have saw that) and that she did very well there.

Gillian is trying so hard to walk. She has conquered the "cruising" and even does it with only holding on to one hand. Though when I try to get her to stand with no support she lunges at me and giggles as if it was a game. We will keep trying and she will get it soon. Though I am still excited about crawling normal (video soon to come).

My boss yesterday finished the third book in the Twilight series at lunch so she let me borrow it. This is a very good thing since I was going through withdrawal. I started a tad bit last night when Gillian fell asleep but was too tired to do a lot of reading. Today though I am on a roll!

Zach is doing good. He can't wait till his store opens in Olathe in February. The people he works with now really don't understand the concept of "training" and therefore it has caused some minor bumps but overall he likes it. The schedule is a lot better than Circuit City . He only closes one night a week and gets Sundays off (except one). It has been nice to have him home more.

That's about it for now. More later!!!

What?!? On your back??

Gillan has always been a tummy sleeper so when I walked in to check on her when she was napping yesterday, imagine my suprise when I saw her laying on her back! I am happy that she can sleep like this. It was pretty cute to see her sprawled out. I don't think that she is going to give up laying on her tummy though. What a cutie!!

Twilight Series addict

My wonderful sister-in-law told me about this series and said that I had to read it. Then at work two people started to talk about how they were reading it. So I finally broke down and bought the first book Tuesday night. Then Friday morning before work I bought the sencond book because I finished the first on Thursday night. Now i am done with that book and need the third one Badly!!! I am addicted to it! I am glad that the whole series is out though and I don't have to wait like I did with the Harry Potter series. Darn these books and how involved I get. I even had a dream about Bella and Edward in a forest running from a crazy redhead! I know!!!! I need the third book!!! might have to buy it on my lunch break. I don't think I can wait too much longer with out reading it.
