Visiting Family Part Two

After we went to Warrensburg we crossed over to Adrain MO. There we saw Grandma and Grandpa Cochran. When we got there they had toys set up for Gillian and she knew exactly where she belong (in front of the toys!) We had a lot of fun watching Gillian play with Zach's old little people and then Grandpa and Dad showed Gillian how to play PS2. Starting her out young. The best part was the cake for Zach's birthday!

Visiting Family

On Sunday we went on a all day road trip visiting family. First we went down to Warrensburg and visited Steve, Missy, and Peggy. Missy had made a blanket for Gillian so we wanted to receive it in person. Gillian had a great time. She loved playing with the ladies and Tiny (the dog). She also had a great chat with Steve. We all had a great time and will have to do it again soon!

For Christmas Gillian received a baby microphone that plays songs and records. This is Gillian and Zoeys favorite toy. They both play with it and dance all around the house. Unfirtantly this toy has also introduced the new term to the girls, sharing. This is a term that they are not ready to catch on to. It is cute though. In this video Gillian will give a little dance before she decides she wants to hand it to me to change the song. Oh and notice dad participating in the background :)

Kisses!

Gillian has been able to give kisses for awhile now, but I have finally had the camera close by to get some video of it. She is cute when she does give them. We need to work though on closing the mouth though. Still cute!

Update of Randomness

Lets see.... I am still loving my new job. It is stressful and at times I just want to rip out my hair but overall I really like it. Zach is getting a new job. He starts February 2nd. It in the same line as what he is doing now but less responsibility and more money (who can complain).

He started classes last week. He said he was actually nervous going but when he came home he talked and talked and talked... He even read me the syllabus (I tried my hardest to actively listen). I am thrilled that he is going back and that he is excited to do well and get ahead. It was very cute watching him put his backpact together and write in his planner all the test dates and when assignments are due. He is really into his computer class and I am really into his history class (go figure). Only 15 more classes and he is already talking about summer classes. Yay for him.

A benefit that me and Zach have been enjoying is going out with our friends a lot more. We have an agreement with my mother that we can actually go out and spend time together and she will watch Gillian sleep. It has been great! It feels good to have old friends call us and invite us out and we can actually say yes! We celebrated Johnny's birthday with him and met his new girlfriend how is super nice and really funny. We also got to see Jeff's band play at a benefit to support people with families having work and shelter. Another great thing we have been doing is showing our new friend Jamison from Manhattan Kansas around which has been a lot of fun. This Satuday night I am going to my first girls night in over three years! I am excited and yet nervous. Zach is actually staying home with Bean so that I can go to a birthday dinner and drinks afterwards. He rocks!!!

The rest of our month is pretty busy and we are excited about that. On the 27th we are going to see a friend and her Motown Band play. Apparently they are doing extrememly well. They were featured in the Pitch and have landed a weekly gig. Julia (our friend) is the lead vocalist and I can't wait to hear her sing.

On the other side of our friends, Amanda and Q are engaged! Since Amanda stinks at updating her blog I will tell all. They got engaged over the new year. They are going to wait a while for the wedding. I am excited because Bean gets to be a flower girl and so since they are waiting that gives her time to grow hair! I told Amanda if she waits to long then she will have to find something for child #2 as well! lol We are very happy for them and we hope it works out!

Bean is a wonderful as ever. Walking like crazy. I love the fact that she walks because play time is so much fun now. Our Kitchen, Dining Room, and Living Room all connects and so lately me and Bean have been running around playing cat and mouse. Normally I will run all the way around and sneak up behind her. She will turn around and scream and try to run away. Running is still a new thing for her.

Bean is also talking like crazy. Most of it you can't understand but dada is definitely one. She has said at random thank you, apples, and more recently she will say bye bye and wave. I love her so much!!!

Our "other" child Zoey is doing good as well. She will have surgery February 3rd to have tubes put in her ears and to remove her atnoids. There is fluid built up on her ear drums and that is why she is still not talking. The atnoids being removed will take care of the runny nose that has been running since June.

Overall we are just trucking a long. I am hoping now that my schedule has calmed down a little bit I can update more!

Pigtails

Zach wanted to braid Zoey's hair but it wasn't working so he instead gave her pigtails! Too Cute! Now He wants Gillian to have more hair so he can play with it. LOL!

Play time with Zoey!

Now that we are walking more play time with Zoey has gotten even better. Last night Zoey would run into the kitchen and sit on her stool and Gillian would follow her and when she would turn to the corner where the stool was Zoey would jump up and they both started to laugh. It was like hide and seek toddler style. They are so cute to watch play together!
